I am a Cancer who enjoys long walks on the beach and causing chaos in the Middle East. Like many of my compatriots on this website, I am a cradle Catholic who delights in rebelling against the 1970′s inspired Novus Ordo and tweaking the tail of any liberal in range. I have, in my own modest opinion, lived a very interesting and adventurous life. I have no degree, unless you consider a Masters Degree in kicking ass, taking names, and heavy automatic weapons.

My personal heroes include Chesterton, Tolkien, Belisarius, Patton, St. Thomas Moore, and the inspirer of my appelation, Nicephoras Phocas. I have nothing in common with any of them but the last, whose career as one of Byzantium’s finest generals earned him the nickname “The White Death of the Arabs”. I think it is apt, though generally as a reference to my pale Irish skin and my butchering of the Arabic language during my matriculation at Sandbox University for Infidels.
